In a week where residential construction numbers across the country hit a 45 year high, the numbers in Canterbury aren’t showing the same level of growth.

 

Although the Governments KiwiBuild programme has crashed and burned, the construction sector seems to be picking up the slack, building more houses than we have seen in a generation.

 

So why is Canterbury falling behind the rest of the country?
